The Globalist / Media / Spook / Tech (GMST) Cabal Anoints Itself

Few statements better epitomize official beliefs than Comey's 'higher calling', the notion that the spy agencies and other denizens of the Deep-State possessed moral authority superior to the democratic institutions put in place by the American Founders. Pursuant to this warped vision, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, and others sought to de-legitimize, destabilize, distract, and deter the incoming, duly elected Trump Administration.

The spy agencies formed alliances with major media outlets, providing them official secrets in exchange for on-demand coverage fitting their preferred narrative. The new Administration struggled to find its footing amid a barrage of accusations, leaks, investigations of alleged treason, and frequent chaotic staff changes. Before investigations had begun, impeachment charges were set in motion in January 2017, the same month President Trump was inaugurated, using the same discredited dossier that was by now well-known to Congressional staff and media.

The spy-media alliance set out to remove the Attorney General and the National Security Advisor, who had legal authority to investigate past (and ongoing) abuses, with potentially devastating consequences for the careers of those involved. Attorney General Sessions was quickly intimidated into recusing himself from anything to do with allegations of collusion with Russia, on the dubious grounds that he had met routinely with the Russian Ambassador during the transition period. Sessions thus exempted himself from investigating the motives or the basis the FBI (part of the Department of Justice [DOJ]) for launching a counterintelligence investigation into candidate Donald Trump; in particular whether there was any basis whatsoever for doing so, other than the discredited Steele dossier commissioned and paid for by the DNC. By this recusal, Sessions also exempted himself from looking into the FBI's repeated false assertions to the secret FISA Court, which the Court relied on to issue warrants authorizing investigation of President Trump and others. It ensured that officials who believed their 'higher calling' entitled them to abuse their authority remained above the law.

The National Security Advisor, Lt General Flynn, had previously been fired by President Obama from his position as DIA Director, for revealing that U.S. missiles smuggled to Libya, intended for Syrian groups, had somehow been diverted to Afghanistan and used against U.S. forces there. At NSA he would have authority to investigate the entire range of unauthorized U.S. regime-change operations in the Mideast, from Obama's secret alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood and his cessation of DEA's investigation of Hezbollah's drug racketeering, to the illegal use of spy agencies to target domestic political opponents including candidate Trump. NSA could also ask why the spy agencies had ignored massive Chinese espionage in the United States, freely taking Defense secrets of advanced aircraft, and industrial technology with dual use applications. The reason was that Chinese Government agencies had paid billions of Dollars to Hunter Biden, son of then-Vice President Joe Biden, to avoid prosecution for these crimes. Whether Flynn knew this or not, no one who was responsible for these technology transfers to China could afford to have it known. Flynn was quickly removed from the Trump Administration by having the Washington Post characterize his routine Transition meetings with the Russian Ambassador as 'collusion', and engineering a dispute with Vice President Pence. This halted any investigation of unlawful activity related to national security before it had begun. With the departures of both the Attorney General and the National Security Advisor, the way was cleared to continue spurious investigations of President Trump as if no election had been held in 2016.

To those possessed by a 'higher calling', Donald Trump's real crime was that against all odds and against the globalist / media / spook / tech (GMST) cabal, he had won. A populist revolt had decisively rejected the Obama legacy and the entrenched bureaucracy of the Deep State for which it stood. Trump's no-apologies America-first program inspired millions of Americans, not only the 'deplorables' whom Obama and Clinton derided, but also independents who appreciated the common-sense of energy independence, reducing government regulation of enterprise, making strategic goods domestically, spurring domestic innovation and employment, controlling national borders and immigration, getting along with Russia, improving the terms of international trade, and reclaiming national sovereignty from multilateral organizations. Despite the obvious appeal of this program, it interfered with the 'higher calling' heard by the GMST cabal of conspirators. Their program, never clearly articulated, amounted to a visceral hatred of Trump and the common people who had bestowed the nation's highest office on him. 'Trump Derangement Syndrome', which they propagated widely through the media, academia, Congress, and the chancelleries of Europe, amounted to a contempt for democracy. 'How dare he displace us', as Greta Thunberg might have put it if she could travel backward in time. There was only one thing for it: The 'higher calling' called for -- revenge.
