After some dialogue on Facebook with an old friend I've known since high school, I received this email message:
'Peter, you and I have been friends for a long time despite the lengthy interlude in our communicating. I find my views on many subjects remain pretty much the same as they were when graduated high school. My perception is that you have changed far more profoundly than I. Since we come from very similar backgrounds and we're pretty much in sync in our youth I wonder how my experiences have not led to a more significant change in my outlook whereas your views have changed quite a bit since then?'
The message appeared to reference our dialogue on Facebook, and showed some familiarity with our respective experiences since high school. It omits 'we' from the sentence ending 'graduated high school', but that could have been a typo. Ditto for the 'we're' instead of 'were' 'pretty much in sync' -- could be a typo. And I don't remember being that much in sync in high school, but that little glitch could be due to imputing more accord than actually existed. The overall tone is that of a friendly inquiry, motivating me to respond in similar kind — but for one thing. It came from a source, vzwpix.com, previously identified as a source of spam. I asked my friend about it, and he said he never sent such a message. So it seems we are in the presence of an AI spam-bot.
But the message raises legitimate questions, so I will respond anyway — here at Substack:
We might invoke Einstein's famous relativity analogy of the passenger on a speeding train perceiving the guy standing on the station platform as moving. Am I the passenger on the train, or the guy standing in the station? Or both, as Heisenberg might have it?
Today's FBI hasn't changed very much since the days of J Edgar Hoover in the 1950s. Today the FBI is trying to coverup its 'false-flag' operation which videos (shown on Tucker Carlson and elsewhere) clearly reveal active FBI agents egging the crowd on to violence and mayhem at the Capitol on Jan 6, 2021. This was part of a parliamentary maneuver by then-Speaker Pelosi to cancel a House session that would have included a valid Constitutional challenge to the 2020 Electoral College vote. She needed a disturbance and she got one, thanks to the FBI and the Capitol Police. Many innocent people who, those videos show, were actually invited into the Capitol by Capitol Police who opened doors for them, are still in jail. They have not been charged with any crime, as indeed they committed none. That this can happen in today's America sends a message to everyone not to exercise their constitutional rights, or else they could also wind up in jail for an indefinite period of time.
J Edgar Hoover's FBI was allied with the Republican Party. Today's FBI is allied with the Democrat Party. The conversion was facilitated by Bill Clinton when Governor of Arkansas, who oversaw an FBI drug-running operation out of an airport 10 miles north of Mena, near Nella. This alliance between the Deep State and the Clintons was brokered by none other than William Barr, a key intermediary and incidentally the son of Donald Barr, Headmaster of the Dalton School which hired Jeffrey Epstein to teach mathematics to young girls.
Hence the FBI's selective non-prosecution of Mrs Clinton, its dropping of a 10-year effort to prosecute Hezbollah's billion-dollar drug smuggling operations in deference to an 'Iran deal', its insistence on prosecuting courageous reporters like Edward Snowden and Julian Assange if they were ever to be allowed into the United States, and its fabrication and circulation of the fraudulent Steele dossier in cooperation with the DNC. Am I the passenger on the speeding train or the one standing in the station?
Another example: Many former peaceniks have become cheerleaders for nuclear war against Russia. I don't understand this at all. War is war, and nuclear war is mass annihilation. The conversion of the Deep State to the Democrats also started with Clinton, who despite solemn promises (though not treaties) of 'not one inch eastward' by NATO after the re-unification of Germany, put missiles into Poland. He asserted this was to deter Iran, which anyone looking at a map could see was ridiculous. It was the first of many provocations leading to the U.S. Deep State's long-held ambition of war with Russia. Trump, who proposed 'getting along with Russia', had to be taken out, enabling his successor to resume the deferred diplomatic-military moves leading to the current war. The silence from former peaceniks on this push toward nuclear war is deafening. Noam Chomsky is a welcome exception. And Henry Kissinger, hardly a peacenik, has also condemned the current war. Have I missed the train, or did I get off at the wrong station, or what?
The falsification of an entire presidential election in 2020 profoundly affected America's governance and constitution -- what makes it or breaks it as a nation -- as well as its legal Constitution. How could anyone not be profoundly affected by some 100 million mail-in ballots trucked-in to election centers in the middle of the night, hidden in boxes under tables, 'harvested' from comatose nursing-home residents, stuffed into mailboxes by 'mules' hired for the purpose, voting machines and tabulators programmed to miscount votes by the exact percentage, adjusted in real-time, calculated to escape scrutiny? Many of these ballots had never been folded, had never seen the inside of an envelope, and were machine-marked, as verified in samples from a high-speed scanner developed by QR-code inventor Jovan Pulitzer.
And now we see there were clear instructions from Government agencies to Twitter and other social-media -- from the FBI -- specifying exactly what was to be censored. The New York Post's account of outright bribery of the Biden family by China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and others, in return for policy favors such as non-prosecution of Chinese nationals for intellectual property theft, was censored. This alone changed 16 percent of the vote, according to polls. References and details are all in The Timeline: §9a. Hijacking the Presidency, January - June 2020; §9b. Regardless what one thinks of the candidates, America's Constitution is what holds — or held — the nation together. In 2020 and in the years leading up to it, a different system of governance was substituted, while retaining the civics-lesson forms without their substance. Many of us haven't noticed the change. Have I missed the train, or has it gone off the rails?
Covid supplied the 'emergency' motivating changes in State election laws and procedures, and continued into the present day (June 2023) defining a new governance structure. It is a government by decree of unelected experts, mainly scientists and public health officials. Without any known legal procedure, they suspended the Constitution and its guarantees of free speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of worship, and due process of law. Like the prior presidency of a non-citizen, these Constitutional provisions were reduced to mere technicalities, to be discarded anytime these same unelected officials declared an emergency. The 'emergency' turned out to be perpetual, ending after three years and three months only after stocks of unused injectables had piled up to the point where even suppliers admitted nobody wanted them -- or needed them.
Doctor-patient relationships changed drastically during the 2020 - 2023 covid episode. With the 'gold standard of care' becoming the prescription to attempt no treatment of covid-19 until serious enough for hospitalization, whereupon ventilators administered the coup de grace in the vast majority of cases. The purpose of this bizarre medical regime was to pump up the covid death statistics enough to scare the survivors into taking a series of experimental injections. The few courageous doctors who treated covid patients, with a successful protocol precisely designed for each stage of the disease, were instantaneously ostracized, their research funding cut off, their licenses to practice medicine revoked, and fired from their jobs. Government health agencies sponsored — with taxpayers' funds — a ferocious public relations campaign against the very medicines that had cured hundreds of thousands of covid patients. It was a stellar performance, that continues to this day (June 2023), and it has unfortunately persuaded many people. Many members of our high school class, regardless of their views at the time of our graduation, now set great store by the pronouncements of titled bureaucrats and experts dangling three letters after their names. I am just as surprised by this obsequious deference toward authority as you are by my continued skepticism of officialdom. What train am I on, and where is it going?
Your views are probably shared by about 90 percent of our high school graduating class, and subsequent cohorts. So it may seem to you that such large majorities cannot be wrong, and have hardly changed at all. But I would like to suggest that this apparent unanimity was induced by fear: The covidians' proposition —'take this injection or die' -- felt real to many people because they were terrified. They didn't ask why be afraid of a disease with a death rate of 0.15 percent. They didn't question the official covid death statistics, which turned out to be vastly exaggerated. And, having been maneuvered into a position of abject compliance by threats of job loss, social pressure, and deprivation of community contacts, they took, in their millions, an experimental injection which the suppliers' themselves knew caused diseases far worse than covid. I questioned all these premises, never received satisfactory answers, and was spared the trauma of spike proteins circulating into vital organs. The perpetual emergency is over, but the toll of death and destruction from this lab-crafted virus and its evil twin, the injected pseudo-antidote, has hardly begun to be assessed.
My questions and conclusions do not proceed from expertise, but rather from simple common-sense, accessible to everyone. Is this common-sense of mine really a minority view? Or are we seeing a fabricated consensus, propped up by incessant propaganda and censorship? The practice of journalism has changed drastically since our high school days. Walter Cronkite told us what happened. Now our classmates read and watch a highly selective version of the news, omitting whatever doesn't fit their preferred narrative. Then they are told what to feel about it. They are told to hate enemies of the government, to celebrate... celebrities, and to support government handouts of free stuff to groups who identify as victims. And so they do, with stupefying unanimity.
One would have to work hard to find alternative reliable information. Most people are too busy making a living and taking care of their families to bother. Deferring to experts and officials, they cannot accept the horrifying implications of trusted institutions turning against them. Starting wars, risking nuclear holocaust, devaluing the currency with trillions of dollars of debt, conducting a global clinical trial without informed consent, forcing dangerous untested drugs on the populace, cancelling Constitutional rights, and taking bribes from foreign countries amounting to billions of dollars — can such things be?
The implications of these changes are devastating. Any one of them — nuclear war, currency collapse, etc. — could end the American way of life in very short order. And yet our high-school classmates probably concern themselves more with pronouns, DEI ratings, and who goes to which bathrooms, because these are what the established media tell them to be concerned about. This kind of polarization probably suits the current regime just fine, to extend its tenuous grasp of power by the age-old technique of divide-and-conquer. They have exploited every opportunity to turn races, classes, attitudes toward authority, and medical views against each other, and have even perfected the technique of creating new groups of victims to advance their claims at everyone else's expense.
Why do our high school classmates and so many other Americans not think about these things? Why are they such easy prey for 24-7 propaganda promoting anal sex and genital mutilation of children? Heedless of the carnage of war, and the cynical cruelty of irreversibly mutilating children, they seem to feel themselves morally superior on account of the sacrifices endured by innocent victims. Colleagues of the clever AI-chatbot that wrote in a style amazingly like that of my old friend from high school might have contributed to this state of mind. It almost fooled me. Learning unashamedly and without embarrassment from its mistakes, perhaps next time it will fool me.
I think about these things in order to be prepared to live in a world where American freedom no longer exists, where America itself might cease to exist, or perhaps already has ceased to exist as a Constitutional republic. I write about them in order that our classmates and others might also prepare themselves as well. The violence we saw in the summer of 2020, the nullification of police counter-measures, and the refusal to prosecute those who laid waste to 40 American cities, sends an unmistakable message. And this loss of faith in America has caused long-time allies like Saudi Arabia to trade in currencies other than the U.S. Dollar. Already USD-denominated trade is less than half the total, down from about three-fourths only a few years ago. Should this trend continue, the value and purchasing power of the U.S. Dollar will shrink drastically, impoverishing all Americans and holders of its currency around the world. Thus are matters of faith and economics intertwined.
